Oh, I forgot to say. If you haven't said anything to your dear child about applying, don't say anything now. Check it out first and see what makes sense. There is really very little to gain from being upfront about this - particularly if there are siblings involved.

I see it more as 'Mommy/Daddy is really happy because she just met a whole bunch of interesting new friends that really like her.' kind of thing.
