Hello, He failed two quizzes and was asked to leave algebra and go back to 8th grade math. Hes carrying a 100% in 8th grade math currently. The MAP 6+ test he takes is through NWEA and just assesses where the students are curriculum wise at the moment. The 238 is low for his range of scores and falls around the 77% for his peers and the 265 is in the 99%+ range. He completed eighth grade math twice in two different curriculums (moved mid year and joined back in eighth grade math.) This year he was supposed to transition into algebra and it shouldve been an easy fit. Im worried that the gap in scores between geometry and algebra may be the clue as to why he had a hard time in algebra and next year wont be any different. I feel like we lost a year we may not have needed to and dont want to do it again if we can find out whats missing.
