My son (triple accelerated) took Algebra this year and was sent back a year in math. His winter MAP scores came back and he has a 27 point gap between geometry (265) where his other scores were around and algabraic thinking (238). I�m now wondering if there is some sort of specific weakness causing this low score that also caused him to not be able to catch on. He has a 100% in the class below algebra so placement was not the issue. I�m worried we will take algebra again next year and have the same issues. Can anyone identify what to look into as to why such a weakness?
