Actually, our school recently got approval from AP to use PLTW's computers coursework for AP Computer Science. As we're a tech school with a PLTW engineering program, this means we now have an entire cohort going through this. You might see if your school will do the same:

If there's a cohort (as it sounds like there will be), a compromise between hiring a high-level math specialist and going it alone online might be to assign a math teacher as a tutor and proctor to supervise the whole class as they take their online course together.
