Thanks for the link to Montgomery, I will look into it some more to see if it will work for us. I see that they offer Pre-algebra as standard in 6th for kids that meet test requirements, but then strangely they slow things down in high school. The accelerated sequence requires a student to Calculus AB in 11th before Calculus BC which they take in 12.

I wonder why they require Calculus AB before BC, I think most kids on a standard acceleration track can go straight to Calculus BC in 11th grade after Pre-Calculus.This will free the accelerated students up to take more advanced Math Courses in 12th grade.

We are trying to find a school that will suit both of our DC. We would like to challenge my DS2 in Math without overwhelming him and without requiring individual single subject acceleration in Math. He is currently coasting through regular and enriched Math at school. He will do better with "group" acceleration where he is not the only student working ahead. My DS1 on the other hand is an AOPS kid that will need single subject acceleration, where he can go at his own pace since he is already 2-3 grades ahead in Math and is self-motivated. I know we will have to advocate for DS1 since this will involve him attending Math class with students 2 grades ahead of him.

Please PM me with any additional info you can share about fit and possible issues with advocating separately for DS1, that you can't post on a public forum. Thanks.
