She's Queen of the Classroom, standing at the board with her pointer, magnets and markers, teaching me how to read grin. A guaranteed bout of imaginary play with Mommy every night, in lieu of her regular homework? Oh yeah. (Needless to say, we're not moving very quickly through the material - if she has ten new cards with three-letter words on them, she has to draw a picture for each one to "help me understand it" - and usually incorporates some kind of pun into her picture along with the atrocious spelling...).

With a new diagnosis of dyslexia and ADHD, we call it Reading for Demi-Gods, and she is, quite frankly, rather impressed with herself. Her speculations as to who is her godly parent, have, however, precipitated some interesting discussion among DH and I...
