My second son is 4 and in 1/2 day church play based preschool. This year, they do ask the kids to keep a journal and do worksheets practicing letters. This morning he said he didn't want to go to school and was giving me a really hard time getting ready. Once in the car, I asked why he didn't want to go to school. "I don't like the table work I have to do with all the worksheets."
My first son started complaining in Februrary of prek, not September. School's just started. Worried about how this year is gonna go now:(
I do love the teachers. They do many hands on activities too (last week, they made apple pie for "a" week, and a boxasaurus for "b" week.)
I'm hoping he'll settle in. Otherwise, it's gonna be a long year. And a long school career!
