Does anyone know if there are ways to take the ACT or SAT exams earlier than seventh grade? The talent search programs list seventh to eighth grade, but I'm sure I have heard of people taking them earlier.
Yes, just register with the College Board or ACT directly, as high school students do. The slight complication is that a test-taker below age 13 cannot register online, so call the College Board or ACT and ask for a paper registration form.
You won't be able to get your child's scores online, but when they were ready they gave me my 8yo's scores over the phone and waived the usual fee for doing so.
