grin I had to really keep my inner snarkster on a tight leash the day the school administrator (clearly horrified) pointed out that a grade skip was going to mean that my child was going to GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL WHEN SHE WAS FIFTEEN... DID I KNOW THAT????? OMG! OMG! DID WE??

Yes. Let me explain. Being highly gifted, our daughter has clearly benefitted from some genetic inputs that have conferred this sort of cognitive profile. Ergo, we are quite proficient at both the necessarily critical thinking skills to arrive at such an earth-shattering conclusion, and-- wait for it-- able to do basic arithmetic as well. smirk

But I have to say that I'm shocked that nobody was apparently pointing such things out to THESE parents. Must be because it was Sweden, where school administrators obviously feel that such things are the domain of parental decision-making. wink
