Sho Yano this week will become the youngest student to get an M.D. from the U. of C.

Congratulations to him. Reading the story, its seems that the pace of his academic career was normal -- for him. Someone who wants an MD/PhD needs to accelerate if he is going to complete his studies before age 30, although Yano's case is exceptional.
