No, Trinity, the district refuses to recognizes the OT need. I'm doing OT it him myself using guidelines from a pediatrician friend of ours.
The district also doesn't understand that they dyspraxia is really "severe asynchronous development" of a highly gifted kid. They don't understand they CAN be a difference in this kid. The neuropsychologist (who is a gifted specialist) said his body, muscle control, vision, sensory perception and motor planning are very young, but that she expects it to come together for him. She says really its a good thing for him because his body still has the ability to mature. Most kids don't get intervention until after that ability window is closing.

We, btw, were in a tornado the other night. We are fine and our house only lost a window, but a little neighbor girl was killed and many homes in the neighborhood have had to be demolished. It is horrid. It has been a stressful week while we help our poor homeless neighbors. It is all so sad.
