Thanks for sharing this. This sort of comment is exactly the kind of feedback that school folks can hear and get excited about. I'm assuming it's too late in the year to bother with this school, but if anyone reading this hears something similar - take it to the teacher and whoever else at the school, because this is a true problem for gifted kids, and the sort of thing that translates well into the mindset of elementary school adults.
Please don't blame yourself for feeding her love of Math at home. It just plain isn't your fault - unless you count genetics ((giggle))
