I just watched this video from the TED conference and I was so disappointed to learn that our own government has seemingly allowed and even subsidized the toxification of our food supply beginning in the 1990's. The part that really struck a nerve was to learn that England, Australia, Japan, and all of the countries in the EU said no to the potential health risk of consuming untested products but our government said yes because there was no proof that these untested products were harmful. I feel like we have all been duped into becoming unwitting guinea-pigs. I have no doubt there is also a connection to many of our 2E symptoms, so I felt obligated to share:

OMG I going to pass this info on. I have had similar thoughts about the rise in allergy rates and how they are related to ADHD, Autism, autoimmune diseases, etc. I'm going to get involved in this topic in much further detail. Thanks for posting this! I wonder why the corporations have responded to the public on these issues in the other countries and not here. Is it that more people are aware, or is it that the governments see the situation differently? I wonder if the reasons could be replicated here?

I got the impression that our government was somehow invested in the technologies through subsidies. Other countries are not financially invested in the technology so they are free to use common sense and ban the questionable food until it is tested and proven safe.

Since no one outside the US would buy the untested food products, the only way to reap the profits for the unsellable stuff was to declare it "safe until proven otherwise" in the US.

Companies like Kraft can not sell their products in other countries using this stuff, so they use the "non-toxic" crops for production for the overseas markets and save the cheap untested stuff for the US market (Hooray for us)...I wonder if there are studies on the increase in food allergies in the US as compared to other countries since the 1990's.

"Corn engineered to release it's own insecticide" I really hope that isn't making it to our grocery store shelves.
