We went to our Young People's concert at the Philharmonic and this young pianist played. She was a Fellow at the Davidson Intstitue for Talent Development, which I had not noticed mentioned on this board. She also went to high school through the California Virtual Academy, which I was not aware of.

Hence I wanted to post. If the California Virutal Academy is a virtual high school for gifted students, it may present a lot of options for kids.

CVA is an academy that uses the k12 curriculum. The curriculum is from bill benett's brainchild/company....it isn't only for gifted. Not sure who it is open to in California. In fl it is a county by county thing if it is open to you.

But if you like the program you can buy the classes as an independent homeschooler and not get them free as a public school student. That is true across the US.

CAVA is available in nearly every county.
