Has anyone managed to have their kid pulled out for time with a tutor while at school. like hs-ing but in the bldg. gt services will amount to 3-4 hours. once we get new achievement results i'm thinking trying to get them to pull her more even if we pay for it might not be a bad option. grade skipping will mean 6.5 in 3rd and still doesn't stop the issue of repetition. i can't hs at this time. and for this year it is public school... so i'm trying to come up with any creative options i can. although i will try to behave for the first half of the school mtg and just say 'here is the data on her - how do you suggest we get a year's learning for a year's time' and see what answers they might have.

Wow, it is amazing how different schools can be. Our district actively encourages mentors to work with students. We have high school students as well as adults mentor elementary students.

Well, it is a good school district, but there is room for improvement.
