Hey, anyone have a young race car enthusiast out there requesting books on engineering one? Any good suggestions? I was surprised to find several on amazon, but not sure what would work well for ds9.
Found this one; I will probably try the library first.

Thanks!
Heh.
Mr W loves racecars. We kept him occupied on the last plan trip with car magazines. He will sit for hours watching Nascar.
Have you thought of taking DS to a Nascar event? Mr W is going with granddad to the race in November here in TX.
Have you looked around on
http://www.nascar.com/ for some videos?
Anyway - you might want to supply something simple as well as a technical dictionary as well:

Yes, Dh has been pondering a Nascar event, the website sounds like the perfect place to start seriously looking. (Why didn't we think of that??)
I was afraid just throwing this book at him would be too much, and some pre-reading was in order, but completely not sure what.
He was psyched about the one book I showed him but I don't want to squash his interest by offering a book way above his level.
Thanks for the ideas, really appreciate it!
When my DS7 became obsessed with engines last year we discovered "coffee table" books in the adult non-fiction section of the library. They had an amazing depth of information in small manageable chunks and tons of pictures.
When you do find good ones, write them down somewhere. DS is only 5, and isn't quite to the engineering questions just yet. But I know they are coming soon.
