I can't believe I didn't know this before, but apparently, as I learned recently, the Scottish Rite Masons have a number of IDA and IMSLEC certified Orton-Gillingham centers, all located in the North East corner of the USA, where they will do OG with children with documented dyslexia for up to two years, at no cost to the family. Apparently, the system is kept cost-sustainable by offering free OG training to tutors, and then using those tutors to provide the services (under the supervision of certified OG trainers). Centers are in states as far west as Wisconsin and Illinois.

In addition to applying for services for one's children, another thought would be to see if one can get into the training program, which not only gives one the skills to continue working with one's own child after the two years are up, but potentially becomes a source of income as a private tutor to other families.
Awesome! Thank YOU! Good to know in case we end up there.
