Hi all,
We are looking for resources that teach Geography - elementary school level, something that preferably parallels a curriculum.
Any Geography based reading comprehension style books/resources might also work for us.
Thanks in advance.

These are recommended in "The Well-Trained Mind" and are decent:

Blackline Maps of World History by Terri Johnson: There are 4 books (that span time from 5000 B.C. to present day) and a CD-ROM. They are slightly more historical than geographical but work nicely for integrated lessons. They include maps and lesson plans.

Check out www.knowledgequestmaps.com for a lot of different resources and curricula (They sell the Blackline series too).

We have enjoyed the Kingfisher Geography Encyclopedia. Also popular here is the Times Atlas of World History.

Ellen McHenry's "Mapping the World with Art" intrigues me; I don't have it (yet!), but there is a lengthy sample available on her website.

Don't know if those are the kinds of things you're seeking.

peace
