My DS7 loves, loves facts- so I figured what better, useful fact than the periodic table. Success! Loves learning/memorizing the periodic table. After nearly failing high school chemistry myself, I figured maybe a way to provide context/interest in both the table and the elements themselves?

Here it is-- Touch Press, "The Elements" (digital version of Theodore Gray's print book. It not only has the the elements but it has visuals of their uses, and tons of facts about each element. There is also a catchy periodic table song- if anyone manages to memorize it, they should get a t-shirt.

Here's the link. My son actually looks at this for fun.

We just had a good old fashioned laminated copy of the periodic table. DS loved it when 2 or 3, and read and (almost) memorized all the elements in order (meaning he figured out the order).

We adore Theo Gray's materials. The book Mad Science is very exciting, too.
