I've been told that my DD3 is just over-excited, but it still makes me wonder: she does this thing when she is excited where she puts her arms by her sides with hands out a little and her whole little body shakes--she even bends forward a little. I asked about this before and someone said their child did this too, but I guess I am looking to see if anyone else has encountered this since I have never seen another child do this.

She isn't diagnosed with anything 2E at the moment, but I still scratch my head and wonder about a few things.

Doesn't sound like a flag for anything and since she's only 3 I suspect most doctors would not jump to conclusions about it. I have read your other posts in which you describe your daughter and I really see a gifted child whose energetic and possibly the 'odd' things you ponder has more to do with the age than anything else.

I do this when I'm nervous or anxious. I think it's just a normal response.

My son shakes when he is excited. I was given advise for my children at a young age to help put their feelings into words for them. Are you excited about playing Monopoly? Yes. Can you tell me why? If they use words it can release some of the physical and help to keep feelings not too big. This is a long process. Still working on this with my DS9. Hope this helps
