One of our DDs has autism and we recently built her a sensory sing. DD13 with some help from dad came up with a blueprint and then they built it together. First they took a board and drilled a hole in each of the corners. Next, the covered it with padding and carpet and screwed that down. Finally, the strung rope from each of the holes and suspended it from the ceiling. Boy, does it help my other DD13 concentrate on her homework.

My DS6 does not have autism, but my husband made him an indoor swing. He uses it when we homeschool, as well as a bouncy ball and anything else that can keep him moving. What a good idea to pad it, we didn't think of that.
