Hi.

I am a 19 years old and I have a psychotic disorder since I am 13, but I also am exceptionally gifted.

I have read a lot about dislexy+giftedness, asperger+giftedness, ADHD+giftedness, ... but I haven't found anything about psychotic disorder and giftedness beyond John Nash case.

I just wanted to know if here there is someone who is in the same situation or knows someone with this since day hospitals and community treatment for people with psychosis and schizophrenia are not appropriate (helpful) for people who are twice exceptional (like me).

Also, I am having problems at college which are paradoxical ( or at least that's what the university disability center considers) and It's seems there are not available accommodations for people like me.( "We can't do anything")

Does anyone have similar experiences?

Sorry for my English, It's not my mother tongue.

We might be able to help with ideas to accommodate you better at college.

Can you describe the kinds of "paradoxical problems" that you're experiencing at college?

Is your condition episodic? Can you be externally triggered? Is it continuous?

Is there a student health center on your college campus?

The trouble with 2e-related problems is that they result in singularities.

The gifted profile and the disabling condition interact in idiosyncratic ways.

Nash is a single example of a mental illness in someone HG+. It may not apply to anyone else.
