DS8 is accelerated 3 grade levels for math and even without any disabilities he would probably have some trouble with all the writing, however he also has developmental coordination disorder and probably dysgraphia. On a test that he did recently one of the questions was "write the short word form and the expanded form for 61,420,185." Then the kids are given about 6 inches of line space to write their answer. He wrote something but I have no clue what it says. There were multiple questions like that. I emailed the teacher stating that this is not going to work, and she and the OT are now giving him an ipad with an app called (I believe) Snap Type. They take a picture of his math work with the ipad and then he just types in the answers. Supposedly this is going well. Just wanted to share in case it helps someone else. If anyone else has found other apps feel free to share.

Oh, thank you for this! I saw this on another forum a while ago, but didn't properly bookmark it and spent 20 minutes this afternoon trying to come up with the right Google combo to find it! Definitely want to give this a try.
