Anyone hear of "sluggish cognitive tempo"? I wonder how this correlates to slow processing speed on the WISC. We are treating DD's ADHD with meds (methylphenidrate) but she is still one of the slowest kids in the class. DS seems to actually fit the description better, though. Lethargic, daydreamy, spacey, disorganized, etc.

There is a blogger called Tess Messer who writes about inattentive ADD and sluggish cognitive tempo. If you want to find more information on it - her blog is Primarily Inattentive ADD. I saw something with a slightly different name on it for the same disorder. I have a son with inattentive ADD, and he is somewhat slow moving and always has been. Russell Barkley writes about it and so does Adele Diamond.

Thanks. I need to do some more research on it.
