Does anyone have experience with neurofeedback? I googled it and it sounds intriguing if not yet proven.

Making things happen on the computer screen using nothing but your mind sounds kinda fun in a geeky sort of way.

You might also be interested in these Mindflex games (I haven't tried them myself).

Wow! Sounds so cool, but with more negative one star reviews that anything else, it sounds like they have some work to do on it before it does what they say. I'll be watching though, its a great idea!

Yeah, I don't know why the first one has only a three-star rating and the second one has such higher ratings. They almost certainly do work to some extent for many people, or they'd have much lower reviews. Interesting, but I never saw fit to drop money on them.

I didn't realize you had 2 links there, after reviewing the 2nd one I'm guessing its a great drinking game but only so-so for younger kids or ADD. The noise issue would make it a no-go for me as far as purchasing but I'd love to try it at someone elses house ;-)

My daughter (diagnosed ADHD but I'm still skeptical about it) did nine sessions of neurofeedback with a therapist. She was also working on a behavior plan at school. Her behavior is significantly better, but we don't really know what to attribute that to. The therapist said that she seemed to be a "good subject," for what that's worth.

We did neurofeedback after my son was diagnosed ADHD but I was not convinced he was really ADHD (you know that Mommy gut was screaming at me). The brain map determined he was NOT ADHD and instead had what he referred to as Ferrari brain- his brain processes significantly faster than most people so it can appear that he is impulsive or inattentive- he just moved on to the next topic because he was done with it- which is different than true ADHD. I think it did some good but we were still trying to figure out what was wrong- we finally realized or was told it was PANDAS which became the primary concern. I do like having that brain map that shows he does not have ADHD brain patterns and proof he thinks faster than other people. Hope that helps- if you have any questions feel free to ask!
