Is anyone familiar with this test and its application for GT screening in elementary schools? How would it compare to an individual IQ test. Thanks for anything you could tell me.

I, too, am not particularly familiar with this test but do know that it is one of those multiple choice group tests. You might want to check out Hoagie's inventory of tests to get a little more info and hopefully someone whose child has taken the Inview will respond here as well.

Hi -- dd14 took the inView a few years ago. I can't really tell you much, as her scores across subtests varied substantially from year to year.

Do you think your child's scores reflect his/her aptitude?

Oh..where are my manners? Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! My DD is entering 6th grade, and the school is using state standardized tests and the InView to place for academic leveled classes. I do not believe the scores reflect her aptitude, but she has other issues which interfere with the school getting a good read on her (SPD, anxiety issues, selective mutism). My other kids are clearly gifted, but she's a tough nut to crack, and I'm trying to find a point of entry to lobby the school on her behalf.
