I am just curious about the DYS admissions decisions. We have applied for our son (DS5.10) during the April cycle (emailed at 11:20 pm on 4/30, of course...) and am wondering how the applications are judged. If you meet the qualifications, are you generally accepted, or is it common to still not be accepted? (DS had a 148 nonverbal, 151 verbal, 152 FSIQ on the SB V; and made the minimum qualifying score of 148 on the Woodcock Johnson broad math. He has big issues with fluency/processing speed that brought down his "broad" achievement scores.) Any idea of the frequency of acceptances versus turn-downs?

I know we'll find out one way or another by the end of May; I am just wondering what his chances are.

DS (5.7) had almost identical IQ scores (152 non-verbal, 148 verbal, 149 FSIQ with significantly lower processing speed), high achievement scores and he got accepted in the April cycle with a hastily scribbled last minute application smile

Good luck!
