Ok - so we got DS5's tests back today and I'm needing some clarification

The test says it's the Woodcock-JohnsonJ III Normative Update Tests of Achievement (WJ III NU Compuscore & Profiles Program versions 3.1)

Norms based on age 7-2
Does that mean all his scores are based on him being 7 yrs and 2 months? If so would they be higher had they based on actual age of 5 yrs 9 months?

Oral Language SS 123

Broad Reading SS 136
Brief Reading SS 153 what's the diff. between Broad and Brief?

Broad Math SS 155
Brief Math SS 154
Math Calc Skills SS 146

Letter-Word ID Raw 48 SS 154
Reading Fluency Raw 31 SS 141
Story Recall SS 119
Understanding Directions SS 118
Calculation Raw 14 SS 146
Math Fluency Raw 38 SS 133
Writing Fluency Raw 5 SS 115
Passage Comp. Raw 22 SS 138
Applied Problems Raw 31 SS 149

so it says for the WJ-III Ach you need 145+ on Broad Reading, Broad Math, Broad Written Language or Total Achievement.
Is this test the same? I don't have scores for Broad Written Language or Total Achievement??

He hits the minimum on the DAS-II for IQ with a GCA of 145 so I don't think I have any questions there.

Thanks smile

I'm assuming I have just a typed report, it says Score Report at the top.

His GCA on the DAS-II was exactly 145 so it's the minimum required. It's interesting to compare his results now with those from 2 yrs ago (also DAS-II) as he scored a lot lower on some of the subtests this time - 19 points lower on Picture Similarites, 14 points lower on Naming Vocabulary, yet he scored 23 points higher on Matrices, and 8 points higher on Pattern Construction.

I'm going to contact the school psychologist to ask, but why would they norm on an age that was different than his age? Or why would they put that they were normed on one age but use another?

The scaled scores though are always comparable. How did those change?
