Does anyone know how much math is covered on each of these tests?
SAT math covers upto G9 math. They need to be good at G9 math to get above 700. If they just know basics, they may get 550 or so.
Both cover up through Algebra II including ccordinate/plane geometry and some trigonometry. The science ACT is like the Explore. However, there is quite a bit of terminology involved, not all of which is explained in the paragraphs given, so it gets tricky as an above-level test.
Here's a brief description of the differences.

It's definitely on the ACT. Basic trig is very easy to teach right before the test.
