Hello,
Our DS11, who is in 5th grade, recently took the WIAT-III. He has completed AoPS's online Algebra class recently. He more than holds his own with student 2 or 3 years older on his robotics, chess and other activities. Our schools comments on his scores have been limited to "he put forth a good effort and performed well on all subtests administered". Any help interpreting or gleening any further insight would be appreciated.

Raw Score. Standard Score
Math Problem Solving. 60 128
Numerical Operations. 52. 168
Pseudo Decoding 47. 124
Reading Comp. 40. 120
Sentence Comp. -- 122
Word Reading. 68. 125
Spelling. 51. 134

Thanks in advance

So I took the liberty of flipping back to review his results from two years ago, and I see he continues to show a marked personal and normative strength in math calculations. His single word reading is almost exactly keeping pace with where he was, while the remaining scores are beginning to regress to the mean (though they are certainly still very strong scores), so that they all cluster in the same range. As previously, all of the results are reasonably consistent with his cognitive assessment from 2015, with the exception of math calculations being a little higher than might be predicted. He still doesn't show unexpected weaknesses, and he continues to show a math preference.
