Hi,

I am thinking to apply my son to the Davidson Young Scholar program, and I want to see if he is qualified. His Woodcock-Johnson test of achievement (WJ-IV) have a broad achievement score, is it equals to Total achievement score? As I can't find any Total achievement score. Thanks!

For DYS, you need two of the following at or above 145: Broad Reading, Broad Math, Broad Writing, and Total Achievement.

I have never seen a "broad achievement" score but just a parent here. Do you mean a "brief achievement" score" Anyhow, if you have three subtests for each of the Broad categories (Reading, Math & Writing) for a total of nine subtests, then you can calculate a Total Achievement score. Alternative, use two broad scores.
