Anybody's 7th grader take the redesigned SAT? Curious what they thought.

What specifically are you curious about? I don't have a 7th grader, but one of my kids has taken the redesigned SAT.

Both my 7th graders took the redesigned SAT in March. They opted out of the essay portion, which made the testing experience less tiring. They both thought the math sections were more difficult and the critical reading section easier. However, you can now miss more questions on the math section to receive the same score. Conversely, they lowered the ceiling on the critical reading section so even missing a few questions drops you to the equivalent of 700 CR per concordance tables.

I am also not sure how the March administration will compare to other administrations. Some students who took both the standard administration in March and then their school administration in April indicated that the April test was much easier than the March test.
