Hi everyone,

My DS was recently tested with the SBV with the below results:

Fluid reasoning: 153
Knowledge: 140
Quantitative reasoning: 138
Visual-Spatial processing: 146
Working Memory: 141

Domains
Non-verbal IQ 145
Verbal IQ 151
Full scale IQ 150

He hit the ceiling on 8 of the 10 sub-tests (the only 2 he didn't were QR and knowledge).

What Im wondering about is extended IQ. From what I can find online it says it only applies to IQ >150. So considering DS scored 150 and not above does an extended IQ not apply even though he hit 8 ceilings?
Verbal or nonverbal QR and knowledge?

It is certainly worth asking about the extended norms. Note that the publisher estimates that only about 11-15 children in each year of age across the entire USA will obtain additional information by using the extended IQ. Also, not every examiner owns the sold-separately interpretive manual that contains the extended norms, so he/she may not be able to compute it for you.
aeh: they were both nonverbal QR and knowledge.

Thank you for your input. That is probably why the tester did not include it then. She's an extremely experienced tester of gifted children (we are in Australia).
Try sending them an email and asking. If it is the same place I am thinking of then we also didn't get EXIQ originally but it was calculated after I asked.
