My DS9 recently got back his NWEA scores.

Math 274
Reading 243 Lexile 1375

I know he's in the 99th percentile and he exceeds the grade norm ranges for 3rd graders. I've tried to find materials online that provide context for these scores and have struggled. I want to be able to talk intelligently with the school about next steps and how I can properly supplement at home. He is already in a special program that groups kids by age but accelerates based on abilities - however I feel as if I need to do more to make sure he stays interested. Appreciate your help!

Here is a link with some nwea info. Starting around page 140 there are end of year percentiles. I have used it to see which grade my DS averages in. Sorry if this is info that you already have.

The math score of 274 puts him at the 95th percentile as compared to 11th graders and the reading score puts him at the 90th percentile as compared to 9th graders. I'd post a link to the norms, but I can't seem to find it.

These are the 2008 norms. There was a new release in 2011 and should be another release this fall.

I got the information I posted above off of a document dated September 2011. I found the pdf right after they released the norms, but I seem to remember that they took down the link after a few months.

I'm sorry Kai, I started posting long before I hit the send button. Your percentiles are correct. I was referring to the link that was posted smile

Perhaps the Spark Community on the NWEA site could help. I've learned a lot by reading the questions and answers.
