Be aware that this is a penumbral eclipse. It's quite unlikely that you'll notice anything. And the comet is not visible with the naked eye. I'm not sure why astronomers seem to be hyping this.

Yes. It is penumbral eclipse but I have observed others and it can still be pretty cool to watch. I am lucky because I live in a very rural valley with next to no light pollution so even with my tired old eyes it was still quite noticeable last year.

Having said all that, tomorrow's forecast in my area and a lot of the Northeast is for a cloudy night so clouds are about all that there will be to see :-(
