Anyone giving their kids fish oil supplements? Thoughts? Which type are you using and why?

I do - for the past 6 years. I use Barlean's Ultra Potency and Nordic Naturals Complete Omega lemon flavored liquid. We also use the gummies when I run out of the liquid supplement and need to re-order. I buy the Barlean's from the local health food store because it needs to be refrigerated.
I have not seen any visible changes in my kid (except he does not have the dry skin condition he used to have before he took it). I figure that it will keep his heart healthy even if it did nothing else.
I have always used the high potency omega 3's. I don't have any specific reason for choosing the high potency omega 3's.

DD has always guzzled milk down and during fussy about diet phases I have always insisted on the consumption of at least an 8oz helping in lieu of a meal.

She has always had the omega-3 enhanced milk to the point where she notices it if given 'regular' milk does that count?

We give the green pastures high vitamin butter oil/fermented fish oil combination in capsules. For some reason, all my kids swallow capsules without fuss, even the three year old. You can also get it as a chocolate or cinnamon flavoured gel, but it does NOT taste good. We also have given phosphatidyl choline capsules recently.
Since starting the fish oil/butter oil combination, we have all had better teeth, I can tell you that. Not sure whether behavior would be any different if we did not do it. When DS9 was little and ASD was first suspected (later conclusively and completely ruled out, so you can imagine how bad things were then to have experts be convinced it must be ASD) starting him on fish oils (then Nordic naturals CLO), vitamin D drops by Thorne and zinc and magnesium (citrate in applesauce) was correlated with much improvement. Since then, none of the kids have not have supplements. We just carry on and hope it helps.

DS8 takes the lemon flavored Nordic Naturals. His neuropsych eval. recommended a fish oil supplement. At the time there was a study out that showed some improvements in DCD with fish oil. Not sure if that study has held up over time but he doesn't mind taking them.

We've been using Barlean's lemon. I feel like it may be helping with executive function (DD's therapist and are in agreement that she is bottom 25% for this but unlikely to be diagnosable), but not sure.
