Ok, i just had to share...
In my first post I talked about my little man who is 2.5 and in whom i've struggled to find a definitive one way or another on GT. One day "YES!", another... "maybe...?".

Anyway, today at dinner, my husband was commenting on the fact that lately little man has decided he'd rather be fed than feed himself about half-way through dinner. He's just distracted doing other things and, well... when grandma's around, especially, she'll just as well pick up the fork and help out... and he's no dummy! ;-)

Anyway, he said "did you forget how to use the fork?". But, he said it in Spanish (which we use at home), and used the word "manejar" for "use" which is a perfectly fine use of the word - but can also mean "drive". (One of those fun dual-purpose words).

Without missing a beat, my little man grabbed his fork and plate and began "driving" with little car sounds, smiling broadly at dad with that mischievous look that says... Gotcha!

He cracks me up. laugh

LOL!

2yos don't usually understand puns, let alone make them. Think about all that's involved in a pun, the complex understanding of language and translating that into humor. There's a reason puns are my favorite form of humor. People who say they are lowly lack imagination and a love of language.

My bet: your DS is GT. How GT, it's too soon to say. But he's clicking faster than ND.

And long live the pun! grin

too cute!

Try telling that story to your neighbors who are raising two year olds and see what their faces look like. If they look startled, then you know you have an unusual boy.

If you shugger even imagining this, then you know deep down that you have an unusal boy.

Smiles,
Grinity
