I was on Hoagies earlier and found an interesting list of people who have made a name for themselves and were grade skipped. I know there were some of them listed in A Nation Deceived publication, but this list was a bit longer and got me thinking. smile I had an idea for a public service announcement (I know this might seem corny, but I was thinking of ways for teachers and adminstration to be informed en mass). Not sure how the logistics would work, but wouldn't it be great if people came forward and told their stories? I know grade skipping doesn't work for everyone, but if the celebrity types help promote political candidates and other causes, why not help out the gifted population? Just something to ponder...

I have recently been getting acquainted with my biological father. One of the interesting tidbits he shared with me is that he graduated high school and went on to college at age 15. He wasn't successful at college that first go round though, and went back a few years later to complete his BA and get his masters.

I think it's more common these days, or maybe just we hear about it more. In any case, I always think it's nice to allow people to go forward at their own pace!
