I found this tonight... A 14 year old girl in Zimbabwe has qualified for university there to study accounting. Her father died when she was 5 and her mother earlier this year. You need to understand life in Africa to understand how truly epic this is. It's phenomenal indeed!

I also noted with more than a hint of Irony that her school teachers grade skipped her by 3 grades quite happily without batting an eyelid, despite the school only having 3 teachers in total!

I just had to share this as no matter how hard she worked she has to be gifted without anyone there knowing exactly what that means:

Good for her! I'm glad she didn't give up on her learning, and that ultimately she got some financial help.
