Have you teach your DCs about Set Theory in mathematics?

Did they like it?

I think DD would love it so I am refreshing my memory to teach her the basics.

This is they way I was taught mathenatics and I loved it.

I saw this in another group. What is set theory? Is it just sets? I have no idea! Thanks.

Oh, thanks. They cover this in EPGY Grade 3 math.

Set theory is a way of breaking down to the most basic level our assumptions and what we mean by numbers and counting and logical operations. It is logic and, if you study the axioms of set theory, almost philosophy.

EPGY covers some set operations and relations. This is like the arithmetic of set theory.
