Math Subject Acceleration need documentation - Gifted Issues Discussion Forum

Dear Ones,
I just saw this new resource to help families and teacher who are trying to talk to school admins about meeting children's needs through Math subject acceleration.

It's from Belin-Blank at University of Iowa, and they are a good bunch.

I wish we had this for other subjects as well!

I have not used Ideal Solutions yet, but since one of the authors of this program is Susan Assouline, parents interested in the program may also be interested in the "Developing Math Talent" book she co-authored which make recommendations based on EXPLORE test results and also the thread http://giftedissues.davidsongifted....d_honesty_EXPLORE_scores.html#Post102234 .

Developing Math Talent is a great book, and Belin Blank is a great resource.

That being said, be prepared for a school to refuse to consider information from them just as they may not pay attention to SCAT or Explore scores.

Always be prepared for that! But for 50$ it seems like a relatively inexpensive way to bring the impersonal expertise of a non-parent 'to the table.'
