Why are not more people posting on these boards?
I think these boards are pretty new. I hope they will grow. I was thinking this link might be good for you, Sfireblue, as it is for people working in the school system.

Hi pgtori-
I checked out your profile - what's up in your world to figure out lately?
Some of the members in this site are school Principals Lawyers GT Advocates. There is a Gifted intervention specialist,SPE teacher, ect...
However most have not posted yet.Every
one's opinions and experiences, can be very interesting, informative and helpfull to most.
I was identified as gifted at 8 years old and was in the program from the 4th grade right up until I graduated from highschool. I am now a third year university student and am writing a term paper on gifted children in society. My working title is "The outside circle: gifted children looking for somewhere to belong" I was wondering if anyone has any input on this subject or other suggested resources?
Thanks
Amanda
I think belonging is a key for gifted children. Human are social creatures. From a child's eye view: different can equal "worse" even if the difference looks like a positive one to adults.
Also - What is a Gifted Intervention specialist? Sounds like an interesting role.
I just joined and will likely not be too coherent in that I am having some insomnia issues tonight and it is very late (or early depending on how you see it!).
I was thinking the same thing -- that there are limited posts here in comparison to some other discussion boards. However, I did also notice that the original poster lives right near me! I'd love to get involved in any GT parents groups as my 7 y/o dd could really use to community (and I could too). I don't see any way to email her directly so I hope that she will check back here!
