One of the most powerful things for me in this journey is hearing other peoples' stories. The opportunity to talk about giftedness, honestly, openly and without judgement is so appreciated. And while I've loved the semi anonymous online world, I recently set up an informal group of mums with gifted kids (we've met twice now). The conversation is amazing - the story telling, the shared resources, strategies, what worked/what hasn't, etc. If you're feeling like some extra support, I would highly recommend setting up a conversation/support group. It doesn't take a lot to organise - just a space for coffee and conversation. I find it so empowering and I'm grateful that the universe has sent me such a wonderful group of women to help me along my journey...

Yippee!
Funny how sometimes gifts are hidden, and sometimes they are revealed. Nowadays I'm walking with a neighbor most mornings who totally gets our life. If you had asked me last year, I wouldn't have guessed that she was right there all along.

Jojo,

I agree, face to face communication is much richer than online, but I also have gotten to know some wonderful people online.

One great way to meet other gifted parents is to attend gifted conferences and special programs for gifted children. I look forward to these events as much as my kids!
