Hi,

How would you approach a parent teacher conference if there is a potential that your kid is underachieving due to boredom or not being challenged enough? DS is in kindergarten and I am concerned that he is starting bad studying habits/ sometimes low performance because he is not always challenged in particularly in math. Any suggestions on how one can 'easily' differentiate math in a classroom without much extra work for the teacher?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I haven't been there, but I have several teachers in my family and they have always said that it helps when the parent's provide a way for them to, because the spread is so large in their classes. So I would suggest asking the teacher if it would be okay if you provide high level math materials for him to work on in class during math time if that is an option. Good luck.
