    DeeDee, thanks for the information. The main things I'm worried about are the "irritable" and the "lose weight". He's already pretty touchy and he's already very small for his age (5th % for height/weight)...

    I guess there's no easy way out and I'm still very hesitant to try them. I know that everyone reacts differently, but has anyone tried them and said "NO WAY"??

    I am following along here. We started ADHD meds this summer and while it doesn't happen often there is definitely an anger/irritability component. My question is - Is there any way to counteract that aside from trying new meds? The meds work great otherwise.
