I have to agree that the particular article is so anecdote-based as to be virtually meaningless/unsupported.
Unfortunately, there isn't a good road map for what the journey should/can look like for HG+ kids passing through their teens. Now that we're here, I'm feeling pretty flummoxed to realize this. How can I not have noticed that there isn't any real parenting guidance for what to do with a kid who is highly asynchronous like this?? (No, don't answer that. I already know why DH and I had such a blind spot here--I didn't want to think about this at all.)
