Does anyone here have any experience with PANDAS syndrome? It came up tangentially in one of our ped visits a while back, and I have been wondering about it again recently.

    Hi cricket3!

While I do not have any personal experience with PANDAS, I remember reading quite a lengthy thread about it last year. I am not the most computer savvy, but I am going to try to post a link to it here...

I have done a little bit of research. My DD8 has anxiety issues with OCD tendencies. My understanding about Pandas is that it is related to Strep Throat (Which is a bacterial infection) and not a cold or sinus infection which is usually viral.
My DD also worries a lot about schoolwork. Wants to double check everything with either us or her teacher before she writes it down. As with your daughter, the issue is not that she doesn't know the answer it is the fear she might be wrong or misunderstanding the question. Homework can be exhausting for mom and dad!
