    Or persons.

I downloaded it and took a quick look a few days ago, and showed my DS (nearly 8) yesterday. He took over my computer immediately and fell in love with the program. A half hour later he had designed a little space man and programmed him to glide down out of the sky, land on a hand designed painting of earth, and say "Hi, What is your name?" He then starts asking math facts! Too cute, awesome for sequencing (he is getting Legos NXT for X-mas so great for that as well), art, creative, etc. etc. I just can't thank you enough for posting about it.

Thanks! I checked it out a bit - super cool, and I can definitely see this as a stepping stone to moving into nxt programming, as it is modular too, but not quite so self explanatory.

And I third that thanks! I got Ucreate Artimation for DD8 for Xmas, and it would not install correctly (over at myucreate forums were many other dissatified parents) so decided to return it.

And Scratch is for free, too. DD8 drew two cats that moved toward each and said two different "meows".

Northwestern Gifted Learning Links Program has Scratch programming classes for elementary age too. I just happened to be reading the brochure yesterday and thought I should post that here. Maybe next year when dd is old enough...
