We have been dealing with similar issues. We live in southern NH.
I thing I found very useful was, the Department of Education's website.(for MA of course)The school was giving me incorrect information to suite their needs, and the DOE clarified everything for me.
As for the insurance battle. If you have BC/BS, you can go to Boston Neuropsychological Services in Needham. My DS7 and I spent the day there Monday. BC/BS will cover everything 100%, except for a $640.00 achievement test. I think other insurance companies will cover it, if it is deemed a necessity.
