This year my kids has grown up. They're now of 8years, 6years old ages boy. As a teacher, what I can think out is try to find some educational stuff for them as education as well as fun. So my first thought is quizzes.

I often make similar things for my students but that is called "test", which is absolutely unsuitable for my boys. At last I decide to make some for them after watching some video of making interesting quizzes like this Halloween.

However, as a dad I still don't have much ideas in creating quizzes for kids as well as buying Christmas toys.. What if you can recommend me for them?

    No quizzes!
Get building toys, of all kinds(legos, erector sets, etc.), let them invent things to challenge their creative instincts. Don't get toys that just make one thing, that's not real creative. Get cars, trucks, etc.

oh thanks for your advice OHGrandma. It seems that there is a long peroind of time before I become a qualified father. Maybe I get some stuff which is not in regular so my boys can do their best on creativity. You are a big help and merry Christmas smile
